All of my life, writing has been a part of me. Not only do I enjoy writing, but I find it to be therapeutic for me as well. Whether I am journaling, writing prayers, or sharing the lessons I have learned over the years, I find there is a certain level of freedom and power in the pen. I pick up the pen and the words just flow freely. I pour out my heart, my emotions, my pain, my heartache, and everything in between. Only then am I able to release whatever I am carrying or feeling. Some things reach my readers, friends, and supporters. Other things stay between me and God. Actually, typing the words into my computer takes a lot more effort. I love to fill up a journal or a notebook. It just seems so natural, and I can do it anywhere without an internet connection or a screen. Just me, the pen, and whatever God gives me to share. Tribute Books Written
These are books that were done to honor coaches, teachers, Girl Scout leaders, pastors, pillars of the community, grandparents, and parents. It usually consists of several people writing in letters or emails (students, congregation, a specific group of people, scouts, etc.) and compiling all of them into one book. Then, the cover is designed using pictures sent in, and ideas of their favorite colors to design a cover that celebrates them and the value they hold to each of the people that have contributed. Quotes and inspirational messages are also included, along with a title page, copyright page, and few extra pages if anyone wants to add to it in the future. It is then sent off for publishing and a proof copy is ordered for the recipient. Of course, other copies are available for order as print on demand.
